WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN “OEM” WINDSHIELDS AND
“OEE” WINDSHIELDS?
“OEE” is the abbreviation for "original equipment equivalent" and “OEM” is the abbreviation for "original
equipment manufacturers."
“OEE” glass or, aftermarket
glass, as it is known, is significantly
cheaper than “OEM” or dealer
glass. It is usually a different thickness than “OEM” glass and differs
from the original design of the glass
in your vehicle.
“OEE” glass
should be avoided and under the terms of your insurance policy you are entitled
to “OEM” glass. AUTO GLASS AMERICA only uses “OEM” glass and will not even
install a lesser quality.
Always ensure
yourself that the auto glass company you choose to replace your windshield
uses only “OEM” glass and not the inferior brand. AUTO GLASS AMERICA stands for QUALITY windshield and auto glass replacements.
Sometimes stock windshields just don't cut it, and that's when window replacements become viable. It's amazing that you also offer windshield replacements for big-sized vehicles. You even have mobile service for clients to meet their needs and inquiries faster. Now that's quality service.

Now that was the best explanation of oem quality glass I have heard yet. Most consumers don't understand the difference and end up with a lower quality glass.

This is great information to know. I have always wondered what those abbreviations meant. I thought they were pointless. It turns out they are extremely important.
